Wanted to put up a coordination post for Fran's baby-having so we'd have one distinct place to talk about it without spamming everyone's drop-boxes and so we could all collaborate together.

I was planning on doing two posts - one private thread for the actual baby having and one EP to the main game after the bb is born for friends to post to as well. The more I think about timing, coordination of schedules for posting - as well as the subject matter - I'm wondering if it might just be more expedient to have the four of us meta the actual birth thread here instead.

Nail down the who-did-what and how-did-it-happen things outside of actual RP, etc. (because lets face it - birth threads can be pretty repetitive.)

I also have a vaguely formed plan to be very, very evil to Fran (and Stu and Larry by extraction) possibly next month with a little slice of canon.

Of course, if everyone would rather do a traditional birth thread, I'm game for that, too. :)

Exactly so! She'll open a door and be back somewhere in their world...then come back and the baby will get sick. No stress there, huh? Probably need to clear that one with the mods :) :)

And not private - whatever is said on the stationery account is public and viewable to all (there's a note about it here http://concierge.dreamwidth.org/6722.html ) or you can glance through a few of the other threads on the stationery comm.

Indeed they can be repetitive! But I'm good either way with regards to whatever you want.

Generally, I'd guess the birth would be long, if fairly straightforward (because oh my god, Martha doesn't have the equipment or specialised expertise for it not to be).

I'm probably going to go ahead with meta-baby - and will put a description up shortly for everyone's reference and their own pups input.

Hah! She's so lucky - in canon, Fran had to have a c-section because the baby was a breech, but I'm thinking that stemmed a lot from her being uber-stressed leading up to going into labor. She's much more laid back here, so the baby probably turned just fine.

For Frannie's part, she'll spend most of the day positive that what she's feeling are the same pretend contractions she's been feeling for the last few weeks. Watching the clock and timing them, but not overly concerned.

Pretty sure she's going to have two former Free Zone Committee members playing tag team at this point, yes?

She will get up from resting and her water will break like the proverbial jar of pickles.

I think it might be fun to have her be alone and have to use the Hotel Stationery comm to summon Larry and Stu - whom she *of course* convinced could go get lunch/dinner/a drink because she was fine, thank you very much. That would give us a way to put some of the fun/panic part in game. Yes?

Once that's in motion, and labor goes in in earnest - I'm thinking a nice round 10 hours for the whole process - and then Peter Goldsmith-Redman will be born amidst a lot of cussing on Frannie's part.
